  • This is a story I received in my mail and I couldn’t stop laughing after reading it.
    Here is the story:
    3 Kick Rule

A big city lawyer went duck hunting in rural North Cowra . He shot and dropped a bird, but it fell int o a farmer’s field on the other side of a fence.

As the lawyer climbed over the fence, an elderly farmer drove up on his tractor and asked him what he was doing. The litigator responded, “I shot a duck and it fell in this field, and now I’m going to retrieve it.”

The old farmer Peter replied, “This is my property, and you are not coming over here.”

The indignant lawyer said, “I am one of the best trial lawyers in Australia and, if you don’t let me get that duck, I’ll sue you and take everything you own.”

The old farmer smiled and said, “Apparently, you don’t know how we settle disputes in North Cowra . We settle small disagreements like this with the ‘Three Kick Rule.’

The lawyer asked, “What is the ‘Three Kick Rule’?”

The Farmer replied, “Well, because the dispute occurs on my land, I get to go first. I kick you three times and then you kick me three times and so on back and forth until someone gives up.”

The lawyer quickly thought about the proposed contest and decided that he could easily take the old codger. He agreed to abide by the local custom.

The old farmer slowly climbed down from the tractor and walked up to the attorney. His first kick planted the toe of his heavy steel-toed work boot into the lawyer’s groin and dropped him to his knees! His second kick to t he midriff sent the lawyer’s last meal gushing from his mouth. The lawyer was on all fours when the farmer’s third kick to his rear end, sent him face-first into a fresh cow pie.

Summoning every bit of his will and remaining strength the lawyer very slowly managed to get to his feet. Wiping his face with the arm of his jacket, he said, “Okay, you old fart. Now it’s my turn.”

    (I love this part)

The old farmer smiled and said, “Nah, I give up. You can have the duck.”

When you are educated, you’ll believe only half of what you hear.

When you’re intelligent, you know which half.

  • So here is a video which will tell you what your body and soul wants to say to you

The yellow light indicates that your body n soul says “I’m low on energy, I can’t work more”

While the green light indicates your desire to work “I wanna work, I wanna work”

But the frequency of yellow light is way more than the green light.

    So wht’s the solution?

How can the green light’s frequency can be increased so that the yellow light’s frequency decreases?

The answer will be given to you by the diary of THE JOURNEY OF THE UNKNOWN PATH

  • A tribute to the golden days of life.

Those were the golden days when every morning our stomach started to ache and as soon as the rickshaw-vala left the home, all the ache went into the drain.

Those were the golden days when all we wanted to watch was Tom and Jerry on TV instead of NDTV, Discovery etc.

Those were the golden days when we went to school not to learn or study but only to play dam-dam-dup or chidi-udd-kaan-udd with our friends.

Those were the golden days when we used to excuse – mam, mai copy ghar bhul aya but mai homework kita c and we wondered how come teacher came to know that we were lying.

Those were the golden days when while lending a pencil all we could say was khat khattin nahin taan pencil chotti hojegi.

Those were the golden days when while sharpening the pencil if its lead broke we would be teased hahahaha, teri pencil kachi hai.

Those were the golden days when we trusted a friend’s words more than that of the teacher’s.

Those were the golden days when our friends were our whole world.

Those were the golden days when breaking someone’s pencil made him our enemy.

Those were the golden days when we used to secretly eat our lunch box while the teacher was teaching.

Those were the golden days when competition only meant that whose pencil is bigger.

Those were the golden days when saying katti (while pressing your thumb against your upper jaw’s from teeth) turned someone into your enemy and saying aaddi (while making a well-like structure with your index and thumb finger) turned someone into your friend.

Those were the golden days when we used to lie mam mai copy ni leke aya when our friend didn’t complete his homework even if we might have done it.

Those were the golden days when a pouted face with a small word sorry was the solution to all the life’s problems.

Those were the golden days when work only meant with cleaning your room.

Those were the golden days when after a lecture (which we didn’t listen to) we ask our friend kuch samaj laggi?

Those were the golden days when cheating meant only to be copying an answer from other’s answer sheet.

Those were the golden days when bell rang after every period and we used to say chal ghar chaliye.

Those were the golden days when we used to cry a lot only because we didn’t want to go to school.

Those were the golden days when benches were meant only to be scribbled upon with our name.

Those were the golden days when chat-pat-gola or lukan-machichi (hide and seek) were the only games we wanted to play during interval and we used to wonder why interval lasted for such a short duration.

Those were the golden days when while walking in line to the assembly area we used to break the line or go out of the line and justify to a friend yaar sher kaddi line ch ni chalde.

Those were the golden days when it used to rain and we purposely asked permission to go to washroom only to get wet and enjoy in rain.

Those were the golden days, weren’t they?

Of course, I have missed to write many of such golden moments. If you want to add some moments, just scroll down and write those wonderful moments in the “comments” area so that everyone can relish them.

If you liked “Those golden days” share this with your old golden friends and tell them that you haven’t forgot them. E-mail them, tweet them or share this on their FB profile using the share buttons given below.

  • Many a times we wonder and question ourselves “What is the purpose of my life?” or “Why am I here?”

So here is my attempt to come closer to these questions’ answer.

To begin, let me take you to the ancient human society when early men existed on earth. They discovered that if we rub two branches or twigs of the tree then fire will be produced. They also learnt that this fire produced helps in keeping away the dangerous animal predators of the forest from their dwelling.

Initially, they started to use this fire to keep themselves safe from being hunt down by any animal but as the time passed they understood that they can even cook the animals on this fire so that the pelt becomes tastier.

As the time advanced, they transferred their knowledge to the next generation and that generation experimented and found that they can heat special kind of mud to make bricks which can be used to make solid houses. And the human specie was able to live where ever they wanted to live.

The time passed and they shared their knowledge to the next generation. The next generation realized that in future there is going to be a vast amount of information. So they created a system so that some of the basic education can be given to young ones. They constructed a building where this process was to be done and they named the building as “SCHOOL”

Years passed and a young boy who always topped in his high school was removed from the school to be a farmer by his mother. Sitting sad under a tree he observed an apple falling from the tree. His high school teacher persuaded his mother to send him back to school so that he can complete his studies and when he finished his college he formulated his theory of gravitation after two decades and that young boy’s name was – Issac Newton

Newton's alleged signature can still be seen upon a library window at The King's School, Grantham.

Time advanced and so did the population and the complexity of relations. Observing the numerous characters and nature of humans a young man started to write plots and plays while working in a drama theater. Once his employer lost the script of the play to be enacted that night so he approached him and gave him his script. The script was wonderful and the audience gave a standing ovation and with time his words and work became known all over the world. And this man’s name was – William Shakespeare.

All these men passed their knowledge and understanding to the next generation as it happened to the young boy who was thirty:

He was very thirsty and was walking down a path where he saw a hand pump. The sun was at its peak and the atmosphere was completely dry. He swiftly approached the hand pump and pumped the handle vigorously but nothing came out.

He noticed a small pot filled quarterly with water. When he was going to drink that water he noticed a note written on it.

    The note read:
“You can either drink it or pour it on the hand pump. Decide on your own risk.”

He stood there confused. And after a long battle of decision in his mind he decided to pour the water on the hand pump.

He poured the water and started to pump the handle. He pumped the first time and nothing came out. He pumped the second time and nothing came out. He pumped the third time and small drops of water started to drip out from the nozzle. And he started to pump more and more and the water started to flow. He drank water to his complete satisfaction and took bath and filled the pot again with water and changed the note written on it.

    He wrote:

“Do not drink this water. Pour this water on the hand pump and water will definitely come.”

With this the young boy taught us the purpose of our lives:
To pass on our knowledge and understanding to the next generation.

  • Sometimes, we encounter a situation which we have never experienced in our life and we don’t find a word to define that feeling,

But somewhere, out there, in this large earth, someone might have got that feeling and he too might have thought the same which you thought during that feeling.

But still: Everything has a word; Everything is a feeling

When you see her the first time, or when you know that you are seeing her the last time. You go home, stand in the shower and just remain there. Still and calm. Standing alone, water draining down your pain, time and life. But that too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When you expect something and you don’t get it. You feel something, which pulls you away from your goal, distracts you from your dreams. And you want to shout that thing out, but you can’t. Because… But that too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When your words are misunderstood by a friend and he goes away from you. You stand alone on your path towards your destiny. You still stand there, for a while, waiting for him to come. Looking left and right, in hope that he’ll come. But deep within you, you know that he won’t. That too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When you know its your birthday, and no one wishes you from morning to evening. You feel alone, like if no one cares. You have no importance. You are JUST another person in the world. That too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When your favorite thing is given to a person close to you instead of you. You smile, to show that you are happy. Happy that he got it. But deep within you, you hide something. Hide something down your heart concealed with your smile. But that too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When you are fallen on the ground and you need a hand to pick you up. No one comes. And you realize that you are on your own on this earth. You fight against the ground, against the nature, against the law of gravitation. But that too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When you make a promise to your loved ones and after a time you need to break it. You know you don’t want to do it. You know that it is the demand of the situation. And you know that your loved ones will be hurt. But still, you have to do it. That too is a feeling and that too has a word

When you decide to quit, decide to stop, you see a ray of light coming from nearby distance. Your speed increases. The adrenaline gush takes over your decision. Your heart beats faster than ever. And as you come closer to the finish your smile gets bigger. That too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When you expected someone to not understand you. He comes closer to you, hugs you and says in your ears “I can understand”. Your heart sinks. Your eyes get wet. You feel safe in his arms. But that too is a feeling and that too has a word.

When you were a kid/teenager/adult and you thought of some dreams which you aspired to achieve. When you fulfill such dreams. Achieve an accomplishment. Your eyes shine. Your lips gets positioned where they were always supposed to be. You are at high energy and all you want to do is shout to the world and convince the people that “Dreams do come true.” But that too is a feeling and that too has a word.

And my dear friend, it is nearly impossible to relish all these feelings at a single moment of time but still I felt them all one by one at a single moment and all I want to say is:

That too is a feeling and that too has a word – its writing.

Tribute to all my friends who came into my life, irrespective of whether they gave me a bad or a good feeling because without them I couldn’t have felt that feeling.

    So THANK YOU TO YOU.

  • If you’ve read ‘I have paid the price‘ then definitely you know how ‘LUCK’ is spelled.

For those who have not read it or doesn’t even know then so here the spellings of ‘LUCK’ is going to be revealed.

To understand the spellings, we are going to take help of the ‘world’s fastest man’ – Usain Bolt (also known as ‘Lightning Bolt’)

Usain Bolt is a world record holder for being the fastest man on earth, completing the 2009 world championships 100 m sprint in 9.58s. None the less, he is not only the record holder of the  100m sprint but also of 200m race. He has a world record of completing this event in 19.19s.

And to your surprise, he broke both the world records at the same Olympics  and he became the first man to hold both the 100 and 200 m world and Olympic titles at the same time.

But that’s his LUCK, people say.

If you ask him what was the reason he will frankly tell you that it was his “LUCK” that brought him where he is today.

And you’ll not ask anything further after asking this question because you too will consider that where you are today is only because of your LUCK and indeed you are right.

But, let me help you by asking another question to this legend. “How did you become LUCKY?” and he will reply “By WORK” and after a pause he’ll continue, “I workout for 16 hours a day. I compete with myself and my timings everyday. I wake up early and run a few miles daily. I have nutritional diet and take care of my health so that I can perform at optimal point. Every night I visualize myself breaking the world record, running faster than the previous day. I WORK to be LUCKY and I WORK HARDER to be MORE LUCKY.”

Through his answer you’ll understand that the actual spellings of ‘LUCK’ is:

    W

    O

    R

    K

“The harder you work the more lucky you’ll be.”
