Baby mosquito came back after its first flying.

His dad asked, “How do you feel?”
He replied, “It’s lovely, all were clapping for me…”
Really: Life is how you look at it.
You might have heard a million times “When character is lost, all is lost” but what exactly is character? Lets get acquainted with it.
Character is what you do when you think no one is watching. Character is what you decide to do when you know that you’ll not be caught. Its actually your CIRCUMSTANCES DECISION that determines your CHARACTER.
Your character is never developed when everything is going perfect in your life, instead character is developed when you face challanges and problems. Your character is developed in valleys and not on top of the mountain.
Yes, you can change your character. Though, to have permanent changes it needs some discipline, effort and time. As discussed earlier that character is not determined by your circumstances but by your DECISIONS. So taking decisions is in your hands and therefore character can be changed.
Here is a list of activities you can do to change your Character as soon as possible:
1. Be friends with people who are better than you. Learn how do they carry out work. How they create a plan and execute it properly. How do they handle any challenge? What are the words they use? How do they treat others?

2. Read regularly. Little things done everyday, regularly, adds up to BIG results. If you can READ and WRITE, but you don’t READ and WRITE, then you are no better than people who CANNOT READ and WRITE. (Note: If you didn’t get the point, I recommend to re-read the sentence to get the important meaning out of it)

3. Compete with yourself to complete yourself. In everything you do, there is competition, its natural. But not everyone competes with themselves. You are not here to win over others, you are here to win over yourself, to be better person today than you were yesterday.

4. Maintain Emotional Bank Balance. Make an emotional bank for yourself. If you make a person feel happy, smile or give him shoulder when he needs or do anything which your instinct says is right, it all credits into your account and all the opposite debits your emotional bank account.

5. Be your best friend. You are your own best friend. Others may betray you but you’ll never betray yourself. Take out some time for yourself. Reflect and learn from the events happened in the day. Stand in front of the mirror, look directly into your eyes and say “<your name> is the best” “<your name> you are the best”. Initially, it would sound and feel weird, nothing to worry about. This is truly magical. You’ll find everything turning positive. You’ll find yourself more confident and literally THE BEST.

Character is one such quality which distinguish the best from the rest. It would not be wrong to call character as your best friend and worst enemy. If you have a strong, positive character you can reach great heights. on the contrary, a bad character can work in itself as a worst enemy and will be the very first reason for your downfall.
If you look through an author’s POV, your character in your life is as important as a character is in an author’s novel. If the character (in the novel) is not strong enough to handle the situations of the story then the story is of zero significance. Similarly, if your character is not strong to fight all the odds of life then your life story would be of no significance.
At last, all I would say is, Have a strong character and make your life story count.

A lot of people have known me, Manhardeep, as a very studious, intelligent, enthusiastic, energetic person, but only a few have actually seen the older part of me – Manhar Deep (I used to write my name like this)
I was an average student with average grades and average grasping power. Zero creativity and no discipline. That was me, in short.
In this post, I’ll be unveiling five of the qualities which I believe have brought me from where and what I was to who I am now:
1. Character:
I believe, your character can take you from where you are to where you can be. Having a good character can make wonders by shifting your feelings for others. I believe I got promoted at a very fast pace at my high school only because I had a good character.
2. Obedience:
Elders are people with experience. If you don’t obey them, you’ll have to pay for not following the experience at the later stage. I obeyed the elders and got the benefit of using the experience of others. It saved me TIME and EFFORT which I would have otherwise wasted to learn the same lessons others have already learnt.
3. Company:

Birds of a feather flock together. All I would say is take care what feathers are you wearing? Are you in the right company? Are your so called FRIENDS, are advising you the right thing? Keep your consciousness aside and let your instinct answer these questions for you. If you think something is wrong, change your company.
4. Self-worth:

If you are good, you are an inspiration, otherwise an example to not be followed. So this means whatever you do, impacts in positive or negative way. Understand your worth and work towards becoming an inspiration for other to follow.
5. Be live and wild:
Play hard. Party hard. Live every moment to its fullest. Enjoy each and every second of your life. Find positive in everything you see. Appreciate publicly and criticize privately.

The best way to make permanent place in someone’s heart and mind is:-
Borrow MONEY from them.

Army training k dauran ek officer ne Santa se poocha – “Ye hath mein kya hai?”
Santa – “Sir ye bandookh hai!”
Officer – “Ye bandookh nahi tumhari izzat aur shaan hai, Tumhari Maa hai Maa!”
Then officer to another Sipahi (Banta)
Officer – “Tumhare hath mein ye kya hai?”
Banta – “Sir, ye Santa ki Maa hai or humari aunty hai aunty!”

While Snakes and Ladders was being highlighted on a news channel, a thought popped into my mind. The thought that our life is so similar to Snakes and Ladders game. On deeper thought, I was amazed to realize that we have been playing this game since childhood but never realized how it is similar to our life.
Let’s see how it is similar to life:
In the game, the very first criteria is to get a “six” on the dice to get your bot (= person) onto the board to advance to the finish line. In real life it is the very first step we have to take out of our comfort zone to start the career. There are struggles, disappointments, rejections and frustration but it is a necessary step, a step you can not avoid. And it is of course the hardest part.
Next comes the advancing stage in the game when we throw the dice every time to see how many blocks will our bot advance. In life, the similar stage is when you have to do ACTION on daily basis. We have to put in our TIME and ENERGY to advance in the stage.
Moving further, there are ladders in the game which help our bot to advance multiple blocks instantly. In life, similar ladders come when our actions are APPRECIATED. These may be in the form of OPPORTUNITIES or any other means but the main thing is that they advance us in our lives and take us closer to our goals.
Sometimes in game, we reach a block with snake‘s mouth. The snake bites our bot and takes him away from the finish line. In real life too there are various events, persons or situations that happen in life that work as snake’s mouth. Now the real question comes is – When a snake bites our bot, do we stop playing the game? Do we quit the game even when the opponent’s bot crosses our bot? We don’t. We always hope and work towards winning the game even when the opponent’s bot is on 96th block while ours on 15th. Similarly in life, we should not lose hope when we face resistance, challenges or rejection.
Just like we keep playing the game till our bot reaches the finish line. In the same way, we should always keep fighting, keep playing the game of life till we WIN, till we fulfill our dreams, till we get what we want in life.
The secret behind WINNING is being Lucky CONSISTENT AND PERSISTENT and not quitting the game till you win.

For success in any field, little things do not matter much – they matter everything!
Oxford dictionary defines team as “Two or more people working together”. Well, that is the meaning of JUST a team.

Let’s find out the true meaning of A TEAM:
When I was studying in high school, I used to learn martial arts in the evening. In martial arts, there is something called JUDO, amazing techniques (which you usually see in movies) performed live for entertaining the audience. But believe me, it is not as easy as it looks. It requires a lot of practice. Even more than practice, it requires TRUST, because while performing the technique there are times when your life is in the hands of other person and sometimes your partner’s life is in your hands. One wrong move… PPPOOOOHHHH!!! and you are gone.
My martial arts partner was Raghav Gupta. There was hardly anything common between us except the passion to win, the love to learn and do difficult things and of course being the best at what we do.

During the Judo performance, you can not perform individually. You can do nothing alone. You have to work in a team. And to work in a team requires unconditional TRUST. Once you have that trust, you can do wonders no matter in which field you are fighting to win.
There will be times when you will be tested by God. There will be times when you or your partner(s) will fall short, when you or your partner will not perform up to the mark. Do not worry. Just TRUST him, and you’ll find that you have outmatched everyone else.
Me and Raghav performed a judo demonstration in front of the whole school on the eve of black belt distribution. Yes, we did a lot of mistakes (which might have happened because of the amalgamation (mixture) of nervousness and excitement of being a new Black Belt) but we trusted each other and finished the act as it was to be… and we got big round of applause from the audience and that’s what matters at the end.
As the saying goes “When the end is good; All is good”
So even if your team is not advancing according to your expectations, be there, hold on, trust your teammate(s) and you’ll be able to do wonders in life.
